THE WORKS OF FRANK MILLER
When Frank Miller began his work in comics, it was as a penciler, and while I like his line work, it is his cinematographic vision of the page, that is, not so much the pencils or inks, but the construction of the page that is amazing. When Miller writes for his pencils there is even more control over the page, and thereby, far more intense story telling.
